It’s rare that we do compilations here at PropertyOfZack, but they tend to be special ones when we do. Today it’s a true pleasure to be taking the wraps off of a special charity-fueled compilation that we’ve been working on for a month or two now called The Big Comp by Big Footprints, Lame-O Records, and POZ. 

Big Footprints is the marriage of musical and artistic communities around the world for the betterment of our environment. Donations will be going to The Nature Conservancy - a non-profit organization that works towards reforestation. We will also be participating in TNC’s Adopt An Acre program, where we will be adopting acres of land in The Appalachian Mountains, The Northern Rockies, The Southern Coastal Plains, as well as adopting acres of Coral Reef.

And when we say big, we mean it. For a minimum of $5 you can download 75 fantastic tracks by 75 different bands with all donations (minus Bandcamp fees) going directly to charity.

This comp includes songs from Secret Plot, Aspiga, Heartwell, and 72 other amazing friends. All proceeds go to The NAture Conservancy. Do more good things.

We’re also excited to announce that we’ll be working with both The Greek Favourites and Heartwell on both their upcoming LPs. Secret Plot will probably be getting that vinyl treatment on their LP, we’ve got cassettes coming from The Only Ghost In Town, Ship Wrecks, Marietta, and Modern Baseball. And we have plans for a 4-way vinyl split series coming in the fall as well. So get stoked!

Hightide Hotel - Porch Luck 12”
I finally got in touch with the pressing plant after a bunch of phone tag and voicemails. It turns out that when they went to burn the stampers to make the records, they ruined the lacquer cut. No one ever called me to tell me this, nor returned my calls about it. My guess is that a gremlin in the basement of the plant took all the masters and lacquers for himself to listen to. BUT, test presses should be here next week, and final record presses should be here the following week or two! Finally! So now’s your last chance to get some pre-ordering done.

By Surprise - 478 7”
So what’s taking long here: By Surprise lost the original artwork for the 478 EP, so it has to be recreated. The records are done and just waiting on jackets. As soon as I get the completed artwork from By Surprise, I’ll put that order in, and have those records out to you! So pre-order that too.

Tyler Daniel Bean - Longing 12”
Records are here, just waiting on jackets and inserts and all that jazz. Like the By Surprise records, it took longer than anticipated to get the artwork completed, but we’re close. Pre-order! 

Placeholder - Nothing is Pure 12”
These are being pressed right now. Once again, it took a lot longer than anticipated to get all the pieces together, but we’re getting there. Pre-order.

Aspiga - Tense 12”
Jackets are in, and test presses have been approved. Just a few more weeks! Pre-order.
